When Lindsay was a student at UMass Amherst, she spent a year abroad in England. There she met Cristina, at a gathering for foreign students. They bonded over the fact that they grew up two towns apart in Massachusetts and had friends in common. Throughout the semester they travelled in the UK together and even lived for a while on a sheep farm in Scotland. Once back in the US, their lives got busy and they lost touch. It wasn't until they connected on Facebook years later that Lindsay told Cristina that she and her husband, Scott, were going to build a new home in Wrentham. Lindsay knew that Cristina lived in town, and was hoping that they would have a chance to reconnect. Little did she know, when she and Scott bought their lot, that it was next door to Cristina's.
Lindsay purchased the plans for the house online. Jeff from Mottl Builders & Cabinetry custom-built the kitchen cabinets and built-ins for the family room. Christopher Eysie Custom Interiors designed the kitchen's arabescato carrara herringbone backsplash. The counters and sink are made from super white quartzite. The sink was custom-made by Buonato Granite & Marble Inc.
Lindsay inherited a large rug that she wanted to keep in her family room. Christopher Eysie Custom Interiors designed furniture and shades to go with the rug.
An adorable room in the house is Charlie's room. His twin sister, Emerson, likes to come sleep in his room too. They have a really cool rocket ship canopy that I was just reading about on one of my favorite lifestyle blogs, Love Taza.
Lucy's room has a beautiful IKEA pendant lamp made out of paper. It projects decorative patterns onto the ceiling and wall.
